Meta Social Manager helps users connect an Instagram Business or Creator account using a Meta access token, view profile and media analytics, and optionally create Instagram Boost campaigns through the Meta Marketing API.
2. Information collected
Depending on how you use the App, we may process:
- Meta access tokens you paste or authorize, used only to call Meta APIs on your behalf.
- Instagram Business Account data returned by Meta, such as profile details, follower counts, media captions, thumbnails, permalinks, and available insights.
- Facebook Page and Ad Account metadata needed for discovery and Boost flows (for example Page ID, Ad Account ID, currency, timezone, status).
- Boost configuration you submit, such as objective, audience targeting inputs, budget, and schedule, which are sent to Meta when you explicitly confirm Create Boost.
- Standard technical logs generated by our hosting provider (for example request timestamps and error messages) for reliability and debugging.
3. How information is used
- To authenticate with Meta and retrieve your Instagram analytics dashboard data.
- To create or manage Boost / Marketing API objects when you explicitly confirm creation.
- To display results in the App UI and show Meta error messages when a request fails.
- To improve reliability and diagnose API or deployment issues.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your Meta data for unrelated advertising.
4. Data storage and retention
- Access tokens are intended to be held in browser memory for the active session and forwarded to our API proxy only to call Meta. They are not designed to be permanently stored in an App database.
- Dashboard media, profile, and insights data are loaded for display in your session and are not intended to be retained as a long-term personal data archive by the App.
- When you create a Boost, Meta stores the resulting Campaign / Ad Set / Creative / Ad objects in your Meta Ad Account under Meta's own terms and policies.
- Session data is cleared when you disconnect or close the browser session. Boost objects created in Meta remain in your Ad Account until you delete or archive them in Meta Ads Manager. Server logs, if any, are retained only as long as needed for security and debugging.
5. Third-party sharing and Meta API usage
The App shares necessary credentials and parameters with Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook / Instagram Graph API and Marketing API) to provide the requested features. Hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages and Pages Functions) may process request metadata as part of delivering the App.
We do not share your Meta token or Instagram content with unrelated third-party advertisers. Use of Instagram and Marketing API data is intended to comply with Meta Platform Terms, Developer Policies, and applicable Instagram / Marketing API terms. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access the Meta assets (Pages, Instagram accounts, Ad Accounts) you connect.
6. User rights and choices
- Disconnect inside the App to clear the in-session token and dashboard data from the UI.
- Revoke App access from your Meta / Facebook settings.
- Delete Campaigns, Ad Sets, or Ads in Meta Ads Manager.
- Stop using the App at any time.
- Request deletion or clarification of App-processed session data by contacting us using the details below.
7. Security
We use HTTPS in production and limit Marketing API write actions behind an explicit user confirmation step and readiness checks. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please protect your access tokens and revoke them in Meta if you suspect misuse.
8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and is intended for business / creator account operators.
9. International processing
Depending on where our hosting and Meta's infrastructure operate, your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Meta's processing is governed by Meta's privacy policy and terms.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date below will change when material revisions are published at this URL.
